The troglodyte church of San Anard (St Leonard ), is in Lunzjata Valley (or wied il-Liemu), close to the chapel dedicated to the Annunciation (Il-Lunzjata). The latter was was built in the early 15th century by the Carmelites. The land in thearea was given to the Carmelite community by noblewoman Margherita d’Aragona.
From Lunzjata Valley the pilgrimage continues in the direction of Fiddien and Wied il-Qlejja (Chadwick Lakes).
